At the moment you apply for a visa, you have to be a legal resident of Germany.
You need to have:
- A German residence permit (Aufenthaltstitel, Fiktionsbescheinigung, EU Blue Card …), valid at least until the day we issue the visa;
- A passport issued during the past ten years, containing at least two empty visa pages, valid for at least one more year at the time you apply.
If you are staying only temporarily in Germany, for example as a tourist, without being registered here, you will have to apply for a Belgian visa in your country of residence.
What we can't do
We are not authorized to deal with:
- Issuing, extension of replacing a Belgian residence permit. Please contact the Belgian municipality of your (last) residence in Belgium.
- Issuing a long-term visa based on a short-term visa issued by another Schengen country/visa free entry.
- Extension of a short-term visa C issued by another Belgian Embassy.
